“Hearken, ye honorable lords,
What does the bard proclaim in the square?
Blessed be your feast, O child of the wolf,
O Gökyele, slayer of the dragon!
Kara Erlik has been vanquished,
The entire realm is set free!
Blessed be your feast, O child of the wolf,
O Gökyele, captor of the grey eagle!
With a wolf-headed standard in your hand,
And a scarlet poppy as your emblem!
Blessed be your feast, O child of the wolf,
May the fire in your hearth ever burn, O Gökyele!”
